The Haley Tower Historical & Technical Society

About the Society

Incorporated in October of 1998, the Haley Tower Historical & Technical Society, Inc, is an accredited non-profit organization dedicated to the goal of preserving and displaying materials and information related to the railroads of the greater Wabash Valley area.

Our goals, in brief:

Accomplished:

  • Purchased the vacant land adjacent to the tower.
  • Secured 503(c) status with the IRS.
  • Secured the rights to Haley Tower after its closure on October 22, 1999.
  • Removed Haley Tower from railroad property, thereby saving it from demolition.
  • Purchased Spring Hill Tower and moved it to the Museum site.
  • Immediate:

  • Continue fundraising through offering memberships, soliciting private and corporate
contributions, and the sale of Haley-related merchandise.
  • Promote awareness of our project.
  • Long-Term

This listing is by no means an exhaustive or exclusive agenda for the Society, but rather a quick rundown of what we hope to accomplish in the future. Please feel free to contact us with any questions or comments.
